Friday - LAST Day of School!

WG? Hit# 826, Schenectady NY (4+ year sleeper)

Today is the fifth day of the Vestalia and also is the Matralia festival of Matuta, the Roman goddess of the dawn (only open to women who were still in their first marriage).

Kids behaved last night and this morning, yet again. Let's hope this keeps up. Hahahahaha...

Have a big day planned. Petunia wrapped up two Granny Smith apples as presents for her fave teachers. All 3 kids are planning on collecting as many email addresses and phone numbers from their friends as they can to keep in touch over the summer.

Gabby has been acting strange lately. Yesterday morning, I found her asleep right behind my desk chair and when I woke her so I could get up, she acted all freaked out. Tried to calm her down with a cookie, but almost had to chase her through the house to give it to her. Last night, she was back in the spot but I praised her and let her know it was ok. This morning, we found her asleep UNDER Sharky's desk but when I woke her, she was in a happy mood. Later on, we caught her sitting right next to Cosmo, even touching (*gasps*), behind Sharky's chair (her usual spot, right in the path of everything).

Felinertia: Cosmo is still being a basket kitty. Too funny, seriously. He changes spots, from the basket, to the window, to wherever Malcolm has just vacated, but he still goes back to the basket. Unlike his other nests, this won't be splatted by his size. LOL

The city moved the garbage and recycling pickup to new days in the 'hood and strangely, every single neighbor knew but us. No letter, no phone call, no taped notice on the door - nothing. I tried to call, but their answering machine at the city office says they are having an unusually high volume of calls and I would have to wait 20 minutes. Uh, no.

Let them walk to school like I did."
