Another Injury!

No, not me, Bug. Came home with a bruised (sprained?) index finger last night - happened during the last few minutes of lacrosse practice. Sharky went to Walgreens and picked up a finger splint for him and he says he's feeling better now. Of course, he was in too much pain to do the dishes last night. Hahaha.

Sharky also grabbed a bag of hard candy for Petunia because FCATs (writing?) start today. Teachers ask for it to "help keep the kids awake" - middle & high school kids can bring in gum, elementary school kids are not allowed gum. Duh. LOL I told her she can share with the other kids in class because I know there will be kids who won't have any at all, for whatever reason.

As much as I hate Walmart (Voldemart) I am happy with their $4 Rx deals. Turns out, if its on the $4 list it's that price even if you don't have insurance. WOW. Thank goodness...

I Crave Your Mouth
by Pablo Neruda

I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.

I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.

I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,

and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.
