What a day...

Poor Petunia and her little black eye. She's doing better this morning but was so not happy yesterday. She was playing at recess and both she and a little boy dove for a ball at the same time - his head bopped her in the cheek/eye area so she has a shiner. The school nurse called me and I came right over to check it out. Petunia was so bummed out and crying, I couldn't leave her there so I took her home. Lots of ice and the swelling went down, but its back up this morning. Its not pretty but she's over it mostly. More concerned about not missing her best friend's birthday party than anything else. LOL
