What a difference a night makes...

Feel SO much better this morning (compared to yesterday), thank goodness! Slept very hard, but spent most of the very early morning sleep dreaming about packing up after camping and not being able to finish - filling up box after box of stuff (and the boys were no help at all) and wondering why in the world I brought all this STUFF (books, clothing, food) to a weekend camping trip and attempting to sell the leftover food to this black market Russian convenient store owner... Officially woke up with snuggles and hot coffee and then fried egg sandwiches. Mmm...

Everyone is up and getting ready now for the Riverside Arts Market today. I'm still not at 100% but damn it I refuse to be stuck in this house for one more day. Getting outside (44.6°F, feels like 39.7°F) and walking around and having fun is better than laying around and feeling sorry for myself.

We kindle this winter fire
In memory of our ancestors
And of those who guard the world.
May the flame warm our hearts
And may the light remind us
Of the ever-returning sun.

- Ellen Jackson (from her book, The Winter Solstice)
