Getting Better

WG? Hit# 785, Jacksonville FL (Direct Hit!)

Its slow, but I'm improving. Went to the JPPA's Yule Ritual by myself yesterday morning. Ticked off Sharky and Petunia (the boys could care less) but I really think I needed that alone time. The ritual was very small - only 9 of us total - but the energy was desperately needed and welcomed. Swung by Best Buy afterwards to exchange 2 cds that were purchased as gifts, CY had bought the exact same ones. How she knew, I have no idea. Oh well, situation fixed. (BTW, Best Buy was packed, full of morons shopping, but the workers were very polite and efficient. Can't ask for much more during this season.)

On the way home, I swung by the Dollar Tree. Damn, talk about wanting to cry. Totally packed with people trying to find little things for presents. The shelves were practically bare - I've never seen it like that before. Luckily, they did have what I wanted to make ornaments for the kids. Wait until you see them, its gonna be hilarious. LOL

Last evening, Bear and I ran to the Normandy Volde-mart to pick up the one Rx I had totally forgotten about and desperately needed (for diabetes *rolls eyes*). We ran around looking for assorted stuff (their Martha Stewart craft section SUCKS!) and I was so freaking nutso by that point that I was singing Xmas Carols out loud and changing the words to suit my mood. Had Bear totally LOL and embarrassed too. Grabbed 4 frozen Tombstone pizzas for dinner - what a deal, they were $4.25 each - there was no way I could have had a delivery pizza feed all 5 of us for $17!

As I was checking out, Bear was freaking out because this ancient crack-head cowboy was making goo-goo eyes at me with his weepy yellow ones. Bear said that the guy finally stopped when he (Bear) started "cracking his knuckles" and making "tough guy" faces at him. ROFLOL
(Why can't attractive men leer at me? Huh?)

Oh, and as we were heading back down Normandy, we passed a pickup truck COVERED in lit up Christmas Lights - and the guy driving had a blinking red Rudolph nose on! We cracked up and I gave him a "thumbs up". So totally worth driving down that stupid road just to see that. I hope he keeps driving around town at night. Even if you are a total humbug, you cannot help but smile to see that sight.
