The End of the Week - Day 2 of Winter School Break

WG? Hit# 783, Palatka FL

Medicine issues didn't start until late afternoon, then I was rather miserable until I took my next dose and had something to eat. Woke up feeling the same kind of miserable. Did sleep pretty deep though - the doc was right about that. Only had 2 bathroom breaks, but was so sleepy I barely woke up enough to go. Eeep! LOL I hate stumbling into the bathroom, so afraid of falling.

Plum pudding originated in England during the Middle Ages as a thick porridge consisting of beef broth, tongue, fruit juice, wine, spices, and raisins. (The raisins swell up when cooked, giving the dish its name.) Thickened with eggs, bread crumbs, and dried fruit and flavored with ale and spirits, plum pudding was banned in 1664 as a "lewd custom" by the Puritans, who described the dessert's rich ingredients as "unfit for God-fearing people." In 1714, King George I, having tasted and enjoyed plum pudding, restored the dessert as part of the Christmas feast, despite objections by Quakers, who considered it "the invention of the scarlet whore of Babylon."
