Monday is here
Saturday was fun. Sharky was exhausted after work, so he and Petunia stayed home and the boys and I went to Z's house for a little party. Her son and his friends are all middle school aged, but they all got along and had fun. We grownups had a few good laughs as well as watched Rob Zombie's version of Halloween II (2009), which wasn't all that good. My dear friend KP sent me the gorgeous "A Dangerous Concoction" Woot! Shirt that I had been drooling over and I wore it to the party. Everyone loved it. Good Halloween shirts are hard to find, and now I've got one everyone wants and hardly anyone can get. Muwahahahaha!!!
Sunday was quiet, just bummed around the house after running to Publix in the morning. Heard two chickadees in Miss I's pecan tree next door and actually saw one hopping along a branch. I was so thrilled that I squealed and jumped up and down like a child. LOL Gotta get the bird feeders refilled, maybe they will actually show up again today. (It's 57.2°F outside this morning - absolutely awesome!)
To celebrate El Día de los Muertos, we had homemade Mexican food using the rest of the ground pork (wild boar) we got from Uncle K (via my mom). Wow, it was amazing. We had used half last week in some spaghetti and it was good, but believe me, with a tiny bit of seasoning and some black olives and jalapeños, it was freaking awesome. We stuffed ourselves silly and I'm sure our Ancestors appreciated the effort. LOL
Bear has a field trip today and told us at the last minute last night that he needed "nice" clothes to wear. Geeze Louise... So, we spent last night hunting down a pair of khakis, and washing his prized Marc Ecko polo shirt and plucking his unibrow. This morning, we pulled his hair back into a pony tail and sprayed it with hair spray to keep it from flying everywhere. Sounds funny, but he looked great when he walked out the door.
