Petunia is better today.
Thank goodness for that. Still was a fight to get her bathed and dressed for school - she wanted to go but didn't. *sigh* Once we got there, she was happy. Typical. Left her school bag at B's house so they brought it in to school with them for her this morning. Her dad is going to pick her up from theatre today. That made her happy too.
The Slumlord next door showed the house twice yesterday. First time was a woman who was extremely loud and knew every single person who drove past, flagging them down and chatting, loudly. The second was a man about my age who came across as either mentally challenged or just really annoying (very slow talker with huge gestures). The Slumlord done a "lot of work" (most likely the bare minimum of course) on the house across the street, but has not shown it as far as I can tell.
After the boys got home from school, I played WoW with Bug for a while and totally embarrassed him online. I met a player who was impressed by Bug, so I "introduced" them and they dueled a few times (Bug won each time). Afterwards, they wanted to go to a battleground with me, but I didn't feel like it and Bug told the other player that I didn't care for PVP, which isn't true (anymore lol). I made him correct himself (don't want people getting the impression that I designed my character "wrong", *rolls eyes*) and then I yelled in a city that I loved my son and typed his name in. It was freaking hilarious. I'm sure most people just assumed that we were messing around, I mean how many mothers actually play a MMORPG with their children? *giggles*
I was up all night long again. Tried to get some decent sleep but was woken up many times. Hopefully, I can catch up a bit this morning.
Had another "bird" morning today while walking Petunia to school. We crossed the street and heard a bird peep, but the sound was coming from a yard, at about knee level. We stopped and looked and discovered it was a Pine Warbler (same kind as the dead one I found recently) hanging on the bricks, singing (or warbling? LOL). S/he flew away. Then, as I was on my way home, I was on my block, on the other side of the street, when some fat pigeons or doves flew past at roofline and then ZOOM! a hawk flew even lower past, after them. The hawk was so close I could see the feather markings on the backs of his/her wings. Totally awesome. Hope s/he enjoyed breakfast! LOL
Mom was all melancholy this morning about a young girl (EF) who stayed the summer with us. I believe it was 1973? I had tried to look the girl up in the past but it turns out I had the last name wrong. Mom gave me her correct name and I believe I found her (took just seconds on Google). The EF I found on FB and MS had the same background and likes as our EF, so I took a chance and sent her a message asking if it was her. I know, what are the odds that the little bit we knew about a 6 year old girl would be the same 36 years later? *shrugs* Mom was originally very hesitant because she was so afraid that the girl would have ended up in bad circumstances, but if the girl I found is her, then she did quite well for herself, considering everything. I do hope its her, it would thrill my Mom to know that she grew up well and happy.
