Had a lovely weekend

Lake View

Dinner Friday night was full of hijinks involving a mini-van, 6 women and 1 large gay man (our "honorary sister" for the weekend) - all were starving, 1 was jonesing for clove cigarettes and another just HAD to go to Target to find a chair on sale, which of course the store was all sold out of. Visited an ATM and a liquor store and ate dinner at a place on the Northside called Salsalito's which was like a Moe's and/or Qdoba's, but more a la carte and served liquor. Only one had a drink there, which she said was quite good. I thought the food was pretty good - not as good as Qdoba's. Afterwards, party in the cabin. No fire, just too darned hot outside.

Boardwalk

Saturday was low-key with a long spell of waking up, followed by an intense reading by two gals, and the rest of us wandering about and chit-chatting. Nice nap time, some had massages. Eventually, I and my friend CO went for a walk on the boardwalk by the lake and took lots of pictures. Unfortunately, my joints started aching badly and after dinner, pizza courtesy of our "honorary sister" and some lovely wine, I couldn't sit outside by the fire and just had to lay down. Most everyone eventually came inside as well, it was just way too hot and mosquito-y to enjoy oneself.
Dragonfly

Sunday was a pancake breakfast and straightening up. Sharky and the kids picked me up right on time and I went home and went back to bed, still aching severely. Most likely it was many things rolled into one (humidity, arthritis, pms, etc.).

Kids behaved during the weekend, which they spent almost exclusively on WoW. Sharky spent all day Saturday on the motorcycle and was very frustrated by Sunday. Of course, the ONE THING I WANTED DONE - my car washed and vacuumed - did not happen. I was so disappointed.

This morning, I had an important errand to run, so I drove Sharky to work, dropping the boys off first and then Petunia when her time came. Grabbed all my paperwork and drove to the Northside. Ran a couple of more errands, and was done for the day. Not having a/c in a car isn't bad as long as you are moving - but omgs, sitting still in traffic in 90F+ heat is almost suicidal. Gotta get those struts fixed before the a/c though. Got my fingers crossed for cool temps.
