Got a car!

My best friend, CY, called Saturday morning while Sharky was at work and asked if we wanted her MIL's old car. Her MIL bought a co-worker's car and wanted to give us her old one, to either repair and keep or just sell. Of course, we said yes. LOL

Got it today and it's not bad at all. 1995 Dodge Neon, auto, broken air, and needs struts/bearings. Other than that, definitely decent. Interior is in great shape and the exterior just needs a sanding and a couple of shots of spray paint. LOL (Sharky is good at car paint.) Now, just to get insurance and licensed...

Other than that, the weekend went smoothly. Kids sort of behaved. Kitchen sink backed up. Ugh.

Bear had a great time over his friends' house on Friday and we had a nice time chatting when they dropped him off.

Bear cooked Tex-Mex for dinner on Saturday and there was enough left for a large taco salad for us today for lunch.

Sharky finished helping the neighbor's son fix his leaky oil on his SUV this morning and the guy was really grateful for it.

Took them two weeks, but the neighbors next door finally finished moving out yesterday. JB, the slum lord, has been skulking around this weekend. Slob lost BOTH his tenants (next door and the one kitty-corner across the street). Wonder if he's going HUD once more or just accepting the $1 grand he got from the previous tenants. *gag*
