Friday again?

Sharky was able to get off work early (not really, he had already put a full day in and opened/closed the day before) so we were all able to go to Spooktacular at the Jax Zoo last night. The kids' Fairy Goddess Mother (CY) bought us all tickets (again) and we had a great time. Bug dressed as Bat Man using a costume Mr. DL gave us a few years ago, Bear lamely tried to dress as a nerd (*rolls eyes*) and Petunia reused a fairy costume from year before last. Didn't bring my camera unfortunately, but took a pic or two with my cell phone which turned out ok. Poor feet protested last night after I went to bed and it was a long time before I was able to go to sleep.

Petunia has a field trip today and Bear has one on Monday. Busy weekend for the kids. Bear also has a project where he has to interview someone who served in the military. He decided not to use me but to use my sDad instead. I thought that was very cool of him. There are so many former military people in our combined family, it is hard to choose just one.

A Hallowmas Soul Cake Song

Soul day, Soul day,
We be come a-souling.

Pray good people remember the poor,

And give us a soul cake.

One for Peter, two for Paul,

Three for Him that made us all

An apple, a pear, a plum or a cherry

Or any good thing to make us merry.

Soul day, Soul day,

We have been praying for the soul departed.

So pray good people give us a cake

For we are all poor people,

Well known to you before.

So give us a cake for charity's sake,
And our blessing we'll leave at your door.
