First off, I want to thank everyone who came out yesterday. It was so
wonderful to see so many happy, shiny people (and well-behaved dogs!).
We had some awesome vendors - both PPD favorites and new ones - who
braved the heat and the economy (LOL) to join us. I saw lots of friends
and made new ones. I re-met friends I have not seen in over 10 years(!)
and even one of my sons re-met a friend from 6 years ago. Pretty
awesome. The only "downside" of the day (our lone protester with his
personal PA system) turned out to be an "upside" since he got bored with
us quickly when he got the silent treatment. All who attended the
ritual enjoyed it and the positive energy was felt all over the park.
Next year will be our 10th official PPD!!! Yes, we start planning from
almost day 1 for the next year's celebration. So, we are asking you for
help. Do you have any personal contacts or recommendations or even
suggestions for next year? We would love to be able to have more
vendors, performers, a port-a-potty, and even food vendors next year.
(They don't have to be pagan, obviously, but "pagan friendly" is always
a plus. LOL) The economy is picking up, albeit slowly, and next year is
going to be great in more ways than just one.
BTW, I just sent an invite to the 16 people who signed the "Join the
JPPA mailing list" clipboard. If you know of a friend who would like to
keep informed, please send them this link:

Again, thank you everyone. We could not have a successful Pagan Pride
Day without YOU!
Blessings,
A rather sunburnt, tired Topaz...
