Hey, it's Saturday!
Finally fell into a deep REM state around 4:00 a.m. after tossing and turning most of the night. Had a really freaky dream that I don't feel like writing about at the moment.
Sharky and the boys are across the street right now, taking care of Mr. DL's yard. Poor guy is very stressed out between work and his mom being in the hospital. Last week, they gave her 2 days to live but she improved, thankfully. Now he says the docs expect "baby steps" every day and are slowly trying to get her better. So sad, his mom is only 2 or 3 years older than my mom. *sigh*
Magazine weirdness. Somehow, last year, I got two free subscriptions - one to Maxim and one to Blender. I enjoyed both, even though I am not their target audience (LOL) because both zines gave me great material for my altered books/glue books. Well, my subscription to Maxim expired and I didn't want to re-subscribe because I couldn't afford it. Yesterday, in the mail, I received a new Maxim that had a sticker saying that since Blender is no longer in production, my subscription will be transferred to Maxim - and it looks like I'll have it until 2012? ROFLOL Nice freebie...
My husband's sister, M, is getting married today on the beach in the afternoon. Not my idea of romance, being all sweaty, sticky, salty and smelly. Ugh. Don't get me wrong, I love the beach, but not like this. Sharky feels bad because he really wanted to be there, and honestly so do I. Would be a lot of fun to see a wedding that might possibly qualify for an episode of the Jerry Springer show. *giggles* OK, slight exaggeration there. His family is not that bad - it's like most families, just a little odd here and there. Goddess knows, my family does not qualify for most normal and/or sane. *rolls eyes* I just think that between M and her fiance, her insanely spoiled daughter, my MIL (*gasps*) and my BIL and his biker buddies and juvenile deliquent kids all together at one time would be quite hilarious. Almost Monty Pythonesque in a way...
