Friday!

Poor Petunia complained of a tummy ache last night and vomited a little. She told me this morning she vomited a couple more times during the night. I talked to Sharky about it and am keeping her home today. A friend of hers in school was sick with something like this a couple of days ago, so I'm hoping that is all it is. To be on the safe side, I went to the CDC website and looked up the symptoms of the H1N1 Flu (which has been found numerous times in Jax):

What are the signs and symptoms of this virus in people?
The symptoms of 2009 H1N1 flu virus in people include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. A significant number of people who have been infected with this virus also have reported diarrhea and vomiting. Severe illnesses and death has occurred as a result of illness associated with this virus.
Well, she doesn't have a runny or stuffy nose, cough or sore throat, but I will keep my eyes on her, just in case. Worse, I'm feeling rather nauseated myself and had just chalked it up to that time of the month - goodness, I better be NOT SICK by tomorrow. Going to light a candle now...
