Nice Evening Last Night

The Meet & Greet went fine, glad we got there about 10 minutes early - by the time it started it was standing room only. Gave the boys a couple of bucks and they walked over to Gate and got a candy bar and a soda - last treats before school started. Officially met Petunia's new teachers (3 this year) and got a supply list. Can't do much this weekend with it, but will have it by next one. It started slowly sprinkling rain on the walk home.

After about an hour and a half or so, it got dark and cool outside - absolutely lovely for August, let me tell you. I snuck out onto the porch and totally impressed Bear (watching from the window) as I was able to walk past the feeder and not scare the finches. They did fly away when he came out. LOL

We got together some planters and the rest of my bagged soil and planted the stuff we had gathered from Mr. W's house. I think they will do well. I have one large pot going and two small ones, but I'm sure the small ones will be outgrown soon. Need to get more dirt (hahaha, still cracks me up about buying dirt) so I can move them to other planters as they grow. I wanted to transplant my aloe into a pot where they can stretch and reach, but will have to wait for that.

It was so amazing outside. There was thunder in the distance but you could feel the electricity in the air. Really charged me up. Wish it was that nice walking to and from school earlier, but beggars can't be choosers - I'm glad I went outside and enjoyed it while I could.

Of course, poor Sharky comes home and he's drenched. We had some dry clothes for him to change into so he felt better after a little bit. I hope he doesn't get too soaked on the ride home today - but better on the way home than on the way to work.

My friend is back on FB and wrote me saying that both she, hubby, and kid all had bizarre problems with their FB and didn't "unfriend" anyone on purpose - and was actually touched that I even noticed her missing. ROFL I am so freaking paranoid - need to smack myself on the back on the hand for even thinking that. *sigh*
