And so it begins...
Two out of three kids brought home tons of forms for me to fill out, just waiting on the third. All three brought home expanded supply lists that are just going to have to wait until this weekend.
Poor Petunia was very tired and stressed out when we got home. As she started telling me about her day, she started crying and had a mini-meltdown. Sad, but it's to be expected. Fourth grade is hard - it's when they start switching classes and teachers with different subjects (like middle and high school classes). The school does it simply by using just 3 teachers and 3 subjects, but it can be a bit of a shock for little kids. She was doing a lot better this morning and was excited about going, thank goodness.
The motorcycle is leaking oil and needs a new head gasket - about $100 cost. When Sharky pulled into the driveway, it was smoking. It's just gotta hold on, just a couple of more days until we can afford the part.
The boys walked to LHS just fine yesterday and didn't bother to make note of what time they arrived. Of course, they were late leaving today - but they aren't home, so I believe they made it on time. School would call if they didn't show up, so... Once we become solvent again, I want to buy a couple of those cheap cell phones for them. They said coming home was bad - took almost an hour just to get all the freshmen on board (kids couldn't find which bus to ride) and then the bus dropped them off on the backside of the elementary school down the road, instead of the front which, IMO, is more logical. Oh well.
Had some fun taking lizard (anole) pictures yesterday. They were out in full force, running around and playing. Some decided to hold still and pose for me. LOL I love lizards. Never saw my toad again and haven't heard him croak in a long time. I hope he just moved on instead of being eaten or something. Naughty Fritz the cat from next door was hanging around on my porch again - I keep telling him he's gonna get in big trouble if I catch him going after one of my birds.
