Fairy Godfather and other things

Our Fairy Godfather blessed (or cursed lol) us with our own copy of WoW's Lich King and it was installed a couple of days ago. On Sharky's computer, it was almost a day and a half download (done at night so Bear could do his school work during the day). On my computer, it would have been twice as long, so B (the aforementioned Fairy Godfather) lent us his portable hard drive to copy the necessary files onto my machine. Still took a couple of hours, but by last night, I was able to log on and play. We are allowed one Death Knight (DK) per account, so Sharky gave it to me. When we update the other account, he will take the DK on that one so we can play together. (Both boys had their noses out of joint on that one but they hid it rather well, since a DK is a very desirable character to have.) Of course, me with my silly sense of humor, gave my character a literary name that could be considered rather racy if one did not know the source and B told me that our account could be canceled if someone found it offensive. *sigh* Ended up deleting the character and starting over with a new name (actually more clever and less "offensive"). Not that big of a deal since I only had like 5 minutes invested in the first and it was rather easy to recreate everything I liked in a second one. Of course, I got stuck on a quest just 10 minutes into the game and logged off. I researched it last night - how anyone could figure it out without researching it first is beyond me.

Went to Mr. W's house Saturday morning and, of course, couldn't find Patches. But I know she was there because water was drunk, food was eaten, and litter box was used. Couldn't find her hiding spot though. Will go back tomorrow, maybe when she hears me open a can of food she'll come running. LOL

Bear worked all day long on Friday on his school work and when he got stuck on a video issue (broken), he called and they said it would be bypassed for him right away. He waited 30 minutes and then called back and found out the person responsible had left for the weekend. Asshat. So, instead of being able to work on his school work this weekend, he had to wait until today to get it reset. School opens at 7:00 a.m. and I'm having him call then. He was so not happy about waking up this morning. Tough cookies. I'd love to go back to sleep too, but can't.

Dreading speaking to my mom this week. Bug's birthday is coming up and she wants to make plans. I'm stressed out enough as it is, with the vehicle problems, lack of money for my son's birthday, and trying to figure out an appropriate response to her without giving away the fact that we are having "issues". I hate lying, but I definitely don't want her making herself sick by worrying.
