As I was unloading my junque from the car right before I picked up Petunia from school, a woman was walking down the middle of the street pushing a stroller. (Yep, not on a sidewalk.) She called out "GOOD AFTERNOON!" so I smiled and said the same back. She then asked me if I have been saved "...by the blood of Sweet Jesus Christ Our Lord." I politely said that I didn't have time right now, but she kept on talking while I unloaded. Told me she cared about me (huh?) and loved me (what?) and that she didn't want to see me in hell, she wanted to be best friends in heaven (yeah, sure) - all while walking down the street, never stopping. I drove up to the school and saw her in front waiting for a child - who turned out to be one of Petunia's little friends. I sure hope I don't run into her again.

After I picked Petunia up from school, we ran to the store and picked up some supplies for dinner for the rest of the week. Came home to discover she has almost a full load of homework. Geeze!

Oh, when we were at Publix, we were walking out the door and looked down and saw a small, handmade wallet. I picked it up and could tell that it belonged to an elderly woman. I could also see there was a very large denomination bill inside. I looked around but saw no one - so I handed it directly to the store manager. When we went outside, I walked up to a couple of people who were loading groceries and asked if they had lost their wallet, and all of them said no. *sigh* I hope the owner gets it back soon.

Bear didn't have to stay after school but he missed the bus anyhow. LOL Bug stayed for soccer practice and is on the team now. I'm very happy but then I realize that I've got to come up with shin guards, cleats and a cup, oh my. Where do you buy cheap sports equipment? Guess I'll hit the discount stores (*marts) online and do some comparison shopping. We won't have the money for a couple of weeks though.

Gave a friend of theirs a ride home since he missed the bus too. Really sweet kid, but a total motormouth! Poor thing had the hiccups but kept on talking anyway - just apologized every few minutes for hiccuping. LOL I got a real kick out of him - he has black eyes with huge eyelashes and softly curling black hair, gold skin with a smattering of freckles - looks like an Italian Renaissance angel.
