Local Headlines of Interest: People ducking flying/falling bullets on New Years Eve were all over the news - of course Riverside wasn't mentioned. I called police in the past and they never came out, so why bother now? I'm sure my name/address is red-flagged on their computers as a constant nutty complainer and not to be taken seriously. *sigh* Doesn't matter that some of the weapons being fired were large caliber (a lot larger than .22s and .32s) and I heard two distinct semi-automatics - same ones I've been hearing every New Years since we've lived here...
Dinner was great last night. In celebration of the new year, we had a Boston-butt pork roast (crock-potted with Adobo con pimiento seasoning) with steamed kale, black-eyed peas, and corn bread. I don't care for black-eyed peas but I still ate some. Made sure I pointed that fact out to the kids. LOL
Couldn't fall asleep, so Sharky and I read quietly in bed. Petunia went to bed at 9:00 p.m. and the boys watched 3 back-to-back episodes of Heroes.
Today is a National Day of Mourning and there is no mail or other services.
Sharky took Bailey this morning since he was running late and Ethyl was out of gas. Doesn't matter, not going anywhere today anyhoo...
