Local Headlines of Interest: Buddy Bears! This is a lovely, sweet idea and I'm glad to see something like this going on...
Sharky was listening to some Bad Company the other day and I mentioned how much I miss hearing Gordon Lightfoot (strange, how my mind works) so he dug up some old cds and we've been listening to them. After listening to The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, I realized how we have not had troubadours or minstrels anymore, commemorating tragic events like that. Such a beautiful song and what could have been a minor news story (the shipwreck) to the rest of the world has now become a piece of our culture...
Finally got the tree sealed up and in the attic. *phew* That's a relief. Glad to get that over and done with.
Sharky's still sick, too sick to go to work, so he loses a day of pay. That sucks, but what else can we do?
Will take the kids shopping tomorrow with the gift cards they were given at Christmas. They are excited about that.
Slept odd, had some freaky nightmares right before I woke up. Wonder if they had anything to do with the 20+ lb cat lying on the back of my legs? LOL
Watched the pilot of Wired: Science on PBS last night. Great show. I hope they keep this one, it was informative and entertaining and, I believe, something "grownup" that kids would like.
