Malcolm hasn't thrown up since around 3:00 p.m. or so yesterday. He hasn't eaten, but he is drinking water. Before I went to bed last night, I carried him into the bathroom. He sat up and held onto my shoulder gently like always, no distress or obvious discomfort, and then took a sip out of his water bowl when I placed him down. He then walked right back into the kitchen and laid down by Gabby's water dish. I checked on him in the middle of the night, and then early this morning and he would change spots (under the cabinet edge and over by the microwave) and seemed to be ok.
He's still kind of lethargic though. I'm thinking about giving him a table spoon of canned cat food to see if I can get him to eat some. Of course that means the other cats have to have some, because just like children, they cannot share. lol
Man oh man am I tired this morning. It's very dark and overcast but no rain yet. The weathermen say there is an 80% chance of rain. OK, right. *fingers crossed*
Must be a good day for birds and squirrels though. I stepped out onto the porch this morning and the birds are chirping and singing and the squirrels are digging like mad everywhere.
Last night, we kept hearing fireworks being set off right in front of our house. But every time we stepped outside, there was no one there. Finally after one went off right in my driveway, I stepped outside and just stood there in the dark. No one. Then I made a point of shutting the front door behind me so it made an audibly loud "CLICK". Guess what? Yep, the idiots next door popped out onto their porch, giggling.
WTH? Who are these people, or should I say, MORONS? Don't they have anything else better to do with their lives? I turned the porch light on and went back inside. They stopped setting off the firecrackers. I don't know if that meant they decided not to push me or they just ran out of the freaking things. Gods, I HATE firecrackers, especially in the hands of idiots.
The kids watched A Bug's Life (1998) on ABC last night. They've watched it over my Mom's house because she owns it, but we don't. We let them watch it in Petunia's room and they were all very well behaved. For once. Funny, I have never seen that movie. Probably one of the very few Disney movies I have not seen.
First, Sharky and I watched Orlando (1992). I loved it, fabulously lush movie and within minutes I forgot that Tilda Swinton was female, she was that good. I adore her (hehehe couldn't resist that after seeing the movie) and believe she is one of the best actresses of our time. Unfortunately, it bored Sharky so he didn't watch the best parts near the end. I really want to read the Virginia Woolf book it was based upon, I hear it is even better. In fact, if I ever see this film on sale, I will definitely buy it - I liked it that much. I would like the kids to see it when they get a bit older. It is rated PG-13 and it's not the one scene with frontal nudity that bothers me (it's not a "sexual" scene at all), but I think the whole concept of the movie is a bit much for them to understand at their age. I think they should be a bit more mature to handle a surreal film such as this.
Then we watched the Indian flick, Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996). The film was beautiful and had a wonderful story. Unfortunately, Sharky fell asleep on the couch during it. Not before he had to tease me about Naveen Andrews starring in the movie and showing his naked behind. LOL
