Saturday

All alone again. Sharky & Petunia left last night a little after 10 pm and headed up to GA. Last I heard was a text from Petunia saying that her Aunt C had met them in town and they were following her to where they live. (Sharky said that the roads aren't marked well and there are no street lights, making it hard to navigate at night if you aren't familiar.)

Thursday, Petunia came home as normal from school. Wednesday rehearsal went so well they didn't have to repeat, thank goodness. Sharky ran to the library for me in anticipation of today. Unfortunately, he didn't work a full day - he got off at 3 but worked on Bug's truck.

Petunia's concert Friday night was wonderful. They were really great. We arrived just in time, thankfully, but had to sit up at the top tier of the auditorium. (Thank goodness it wasn't too high and the steps were easy to navigate.) We ended up sitting through the 5th graders' performance (very good) and the 6th (not as good) and then Petunia's 7th grade class (fantastic). There were a lot of laughs and even though it felt like a revival meeting at times, it wasn't religious (thank goodness) and the other parents pretty much behaved themselves (unlike at Bear's graduation and other times).

After the concert, we came home and had chicken sandwiches from Wendy's, then Petunia and Sharky packed up and left. I texted Petunia for a little bit and then after she said they met up with Aunt C, I went to sleep.

So, what are my plans for this weekend? Read I guess. Putter around and clean up a bit. Maybe do laundry? Wish I had my ducks in a row, I would love to be able to do something artsy, but I would get way too frustrated because everything is so scattered right now. *dramatic sigh*

Felinertia: We've had a couple of palmetto bugs enter the house due to all the rain, but the cats have been ignoring them. We did go "sic' em" to Lucie and she actually responded until she lost interest. LOL Well, last night after everyone left, Rosie was tracking something I couldn't see, which turned out to be a palmetto bug. She ran and pounced, grabbed it in her mouth, and then ran into the bathroom (I followed) and deposited it upon the killing floor. Then she promptly lost it. ARGH. That is right next to my bedroom! A little while later, she chased the damn thing back into the living room, where it escaped down a tiny crack in the wall by the floor. I woke up this morning to find that my chiminea had come down off the shelf it sits on and was about 10 feet away on the floor, thankfully still in one piece. I remember hearing a crash last night, but wasn't too concerned and fell back asleep. One of the cats must have sent it flying. *sigh*
